People around the world have watched in horror over the last week as the war in Ukraine has caused destruction and led to more than 1.5 million refugees fleeing their homes.
As Global Citizens, we are called to take action. War and conflict anywhere are major drivers of poverty. From Ukraine to Tigray, conflict causes devastating consequences beyond the immediate violence.
Yesterday, we posted a special call to action for Ukraine – featuring a video from President Zelenskyy. We hope that this will be the first of several messages from President Zelenskyy that we post this week.
We want people everywhere to have a chance to hear directly from the Ukrainian president. And we want to help you find a way to support the people of Ukraine right now.
Join us to ask governments around the world to support the UN-led call for a commitment of $1.7 billion in humanitarian aid to support the 12 million people in Ukraine and 4 million refugees who could need relief in the coming months as a result of this conflict.
