[Suicide Prevention in the Corrections Environment: An Interview with Ryan Price of AFSP's Project 2025]([link removed])

Please join us for “Suicide Prevention in the Corrections Environment: An Interview with Ryan Price of AFSP’s Project 2025” at 4 pm ET on Thursday, March 10 on [Facebook Live @AFSPnational]([link removed]). (You can also tune in on [youtube.com/afspnational]([link removed]).)

As a core focus of Project 2025, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s bold initiative to reduce the annual rate of suicide by 20% by 2025, we are committed to changing the culture of suicide prevention in our country’s jails and prisons.

In this enlightening interview, Brett Wean, AFSP’s director of writing and entertainment outreach, will talk with Ryan Price, Project 2025 senior manager for chapter engagement, about the complex reasons incarcerated people are particularly vulnerable to suicide, what suicide prevention looks like in correctional spaces, and how we all can support suicide reduction within incarcerated communities. Questions will include:

- Why were Corrections Systems chosen as one of the four critical areas of Project 2025?
- Are people in custody more at risk for suicide than the general population?
- Are staff members in correctional systems also at risk for suicide?
- What can we do to prevent suicide in the correctional environment?

We hope you’ll join us for this important conversation on Thursday, March 10 on [Facebook Live @AFSPnational]([link removed]), or [youtube.com/afspnational]([link removed]).
