The CDC announced their new framework for measuring the level of COVID-19 transmission in each locality. Under this new guidance, Arlington is now considered to be in Low Transmission, while it had been considered to be in High Transmission under the old framework.

As a result of this change, we are now subject to the new guidance from the CDC regarding masks. Their guidance states that in Low Transmission localities, people may choose to mask at any time, but people with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask. In keeping with this guidance, masks will be optional at Arlington Chamber events while we remain in Low Transmission, unless any of the previous conditions apply.

Many organizations feel investing in research or building internal data capture systems is unachievable or unnecessary, but every type of organization can benefit from using research data. This data can help organizations make more informed, strategic decisions.

Register for our Small Business Roundtable with Kate Vasiloff, Untold Research as she discusses how organizations can use research to quantify their impact for use with grant writing, attracting donors, and more. This Small Business Roundtable will touch on these and other ways research can help all organizations reach their goals.

Community involvement as a business owner is important because it provides the opportunity to give back in a meaningful way. Volunteerism isn’t just about the “feel good” moments, it’s also about seeing, and participating in tangible results for the betterment of our community. Supporting people, non-profits, and local organizations through the act of community participation not only strengthens your company, but it also enhances the connections made in your community.
