Hi —

Women are resilient changemakers who shape the face of policy and progress across the globe. Throughout history, they’ve had crucial roles in the conservation field and climate action movement as community leaders, business owners, scientists, educators, writers, and activists rising up against polluting corporations and fighting to ensure all communities have access to clean water and air. All this and more while overcoming barriers to excel in a patriarchal society.

We, as a movement, must do better in elevating and celebrating the women who are leading the fight to protect our planet — including our own staff, two-thirds of which is made up of women!

That’s why this Women’s History Month, we’re hosting a weekly Twitter conversation titled #AskAWomanConservationVoter , where folks can ask the women on our staff questions about the work we’re doing to build a safer and more equitable Pennsylvania.

Check out the conversation here and feel free to tweet a question for us. If you don’t use Twitter, you can also reply to this email and we’ll ask it for you! [[link removed]]

In addition to the conversation, make sure to head over to our Facebook [[link removed]] , Instagram [[link removed]] , and Twitter [[link removed]] pages where we’ll be elevating the leadership of women — especially women of color, who have led so many charges on behalf of the environmental movement while historically being hit hardest by the climate crisis — all month long.

Recognizing women’s achievements and celebrating their leadership is not only deserved, but necessary to build a more sustainable future on a foundation of racial, economic, and gender justice. We must also choose to confront sexism, dismantle the patriarchy, and challenge white supremacy, every day.

Here’s to the progress we’ve made and to the fights ahead!
