Good morning,

With the primary elections in the rear-view mirror, we take a look at the next statewide elections on the horizon: the runoffs.

Here is the Texas Minute for Monday, March 7, 2022.

– Brandon Waltens

Last week on Tuesday March 1, Texans took to the polls to vote in their party's primary election.

In order to win a party's nomination and continue to the November general election, however, candidates must receive a majority of the vote, or "50% plus one."
