Team,
Each March, we celebrate Women's History Month. We reflect and deepen our appreciation for our foremothers.
This year’s theme for Women’s History Month is providing healing and hope. This is a great tribute to the work women have done as caregivers across centuries and cultures.
Whether in public or private life, women have often taken the lion(ness)’s share of care work. Ohio’s own Belle Sherwin was a business leader (founder of Sherwin-Williams!), Suffragette leader, and advocate for the oppressed. Her shining example inspires us to fight hard for our communities and prioritize the needs of others.
This Women’s History Month, let us join together and consider the countless legacies and bright and beautiful futures of women in our communities.
Sincerely,
-- Marcy Kaptur
