Insulin costs in America have skyrocketed over the last few years, and have become crippling for so many hardworking American families. So, I just introduced a bill in Congress to cap the cost of insulin.

This week in his State of the Union Address, President Biden highlighted the need to cap the cost of insulin and stop pharmaceutical companies from price gouging Americans living with diabetes.

Today, 11% of Americans have diabetes, and a full one-third of American adults are categorized as “at-risk” that they may develop Type 2 Diabetes in their lifetime.

Meanwhile, the price of insulin in the US is EIGHT TIMES higher than in comparable countries.

You have probably heard one of the countless stories of folks choosing to “ration” their insulin supply because the life-saving drug is so expensive. In fact, it’s been reported that one-in-four American diabetics has rationed their insulin because of the high cost of the drug.

We have to do something about the skyrocketing cost of insulin. That’s why I am leading the fight in Congress, and I have just introduced the Affordable Insulin Now Act to cap the out-of-pocket cost of insulin at $35 a month.

I am working hard to pass this bill, but I can’t do it by myself – we will face resistance from special interests who are currently raking in profits. Will you join me and sign on as a citizen co-sponsor of the Affordable Insulin Now Act to build the support in the Senate and turn this much-needed legislation into law? [[link removed]]
