Friend,
I have never questioned whether or not my sacrifice to America was worth it. But it’s moments like this - when our leaders are letting us down at home and overseas - that I look down at where my legs used to be and wonder how we could have possibly gotten to this point
For those that don’t know me, I lost two legs and a finger serving in Afghanistan when a Taliban bomb blew up beneath me.

The past week has left a lot for me to think about:

●     There was the rapid escalation of warfare in Ukraine, marked by        the cold-blooded actions of Vladimir Putin that were enabled by Joe        Biden’s weakness.
●     Next came the brutal consequences of what this meant - already        rising gas prices are now set to spike to even greater heights.
●     And to top it all off, the American People were given no reassurance for
any of this other than a floundering State of the Union speech from Biden        this week full of empty words.

, last week, I met with refugees from the country where I sustained my injuries. For those young Afghan children, democracy was all they had ever known, and it was ripped away from them in a matter of days.

Scores of innocent Ukrainian children may now be set to experience the same fate.

And, , if we continue to go down this path, the fate of our children here in America may not be far behind.

I don’t mean to be abrasive - I just want you to know what the stakes are. If we want our children to grow up with the freedom that has made us the envy of every other nation, it doesn’t come from weakness or sitting on the sidelines.

That’s my takeaway from another challenging week in week in Biden’s America. If you feel the same and are drawn to act, I’d be grateful for any support in the fight for our nation below.
Thank you, and God bless America,
SSG Brian Mast, U.S. Army (ret.)
