The war on the Post Office is a war on seniors. Older Americans depend on the mail to receive their medication and retirement checks. Yet Louis DeJoy, the Republican mega-donor and private shipping investor who Donald Trump appointed as Postmaster General, is using a bogus financial shortfall as an excuse to slow down mail service and charge higher prices.

Eliminate the draconian pre-funding mandate that requires USPS to fund retiree benefits for postal employees not even born yet
Integrate postal retirees into Medicare
Enable the USPS to offer non-postal services like fishing licenses that will bring in revenue

The same shadowy right-wing billionaires who want to privatize Social Security want to privatize the Post Office for the exact same reasons. They want to extract profit from public service. We won’t let them.
