Hi there,

Earlier this month I met with the owner of a 33-acre farm in Newfields, NH. We spoke about the work he, his family, and staff do to ensure our local communities have access to healthy and nutrient-dense foods like chicken, mushrooms, and many vegetables.

He also told me about his personal experience with climate change and how this summer’s heatwave in the Granite State impacted his livestock. On an above-90 degree July day, he and his employees rushed to keep their 6,000 chickens from overheating, but unfortunately the high temperatures cost them 400 chickens.

We’re seeing that weather conditions are globally growing more unpredictable and extreme -- and these changes are having disastrous impacts on local businesses here in New Hampshire. I’m reaching out now because I’d like to hear your stance on climate change. Will you take our brief survey and add your input now?

Are you concerned about climate change?
YES   NO

I look forward to reviewing your responses.

Thanks,
Chris
