We went into this legislative session with big hopes for the environment. Many of the proposed bills that would strengthen environmental protections were weakened as they made their way through Senate and House committees.
But with your support there is still time to get strong environmental bills passed.
The committees and processes of legislative session aren’t nebulous - they are made of people who were elected. When we look at our legislature as a collective that represents the people, it’s clear we need a movement to make sure that elected officials recognize the well-being of the people they represent is inseparable from the health of our environment.
We have to support the elected officials who will step up to this responsibility. And we need to elect more candidates who will match that commitment to our communities and the environment.
