Fellow Conservative, something not a lot of people know about me is that during one of my very first runs for office, I came in second place, but it was a runoff election, meaning the first and second place winners get to go on to the next election.
I came back to win that runoff election by a slim 64 votes.
I know tough races, and I never back down from a fight that I’m passionate about. That hasn’t changed.
The reason I ran also hasn’t changed. I want to make life better for the communities my family and other Floridians live in. I first ran on the idea that we should make life easier for hard-working families. That’s still true today. I worked hard with President Trump to double the child tax credit for working families. Policies like that are why I stay in this fight for our country’s soul.
This fight I’m in today is not an easy one. My opponent continues to outraise me every quarter. I’m losing in my home region by 13%. I’m starting to think that folks just don’t care about electing solid conservatives anymore.
I have laid out the stakes to you so many times, but I just feel like you still don’t care.
Florida’s last Senate race was decided by just .02% – 10,000 votes. This race I have in November is going to determine the direction of this country. Do you get that? Are you happy with the direction we’re currently headed in?
I am begging you, if you are worried about the direction America is headed in, I need you in this fight with me. Unfortunately, it takes money to win this fight, and so I have to ask (and know it pains me to say this), can you send in just $5 or $10? |
It’s hard to believe how much has happened since I first ran for office in that runoff election. Jeanette and I have welcomed four amazing kids to our family, and not to mention two very good boys (Winston and Arthur say hello!), too.
My family is what drives me and keeps me in the fight. I hope my work makes them, and my fellow Floridians, proud and that the work I’ve done in the Senate for hard-working families improves communities here and around the country.
I really appreciate you taking the time to read through this. I know you hear from me a lot, but it’s because I care.

Demings is a do-nothing Democrat with a laughable record.
