I want to tell you about Helen, a Pennsylvania senior living in a retirement community.

She was scammed out of thousands of dollars by criminals targeting vulnerable seniors — but as Attorney General, I held them accountable. We won her money back, and warned other seniors about these scams.

Helen made a call to PayPal just to check on a bill — she fairly assumed she was talking to PayPal since she initiated the call. They told her she’d been hacked.

She was ready to do what they asked to un-hack her account. A friend told her it sounded like a scam, but it was too late — Helen had already lost $3,800 of her own money to the scammers.

Helen came to me,Pennsylvania’s Attorney General, to get help. We went to work, and she got her all of her money back.

I’ll always have seniors’ backs in the Commonwealth — and as Governor, I’ll keep doing everything I can to make sure Pennsylvanians don’t get screwed over.
