John, I wanted you to hear this from me first.

Next week, I’m going to make a big announcement. I’m excited, and I want you to be ready.

Serving as your Governor has been the honor of my life. I love this state and our people more than anything, and it’s why I wake up every morning ready to fight for you. In just three short years, we’ve made incredible progress. We’ve expanded health care, made historic investments in our students and schools, fought climate change, and tackled a global pandemic better than nearly every other state in the country.

But there is so much work left to do. From expanding child care to building more housing to increasing broadband to providing free community college to helping Maine people fight inflation, I’m going to have your back.

And come next week, I hope you’ll have mine. It’s time for us to defend all the hard-won progress we’ve made over the past three years and fight for all the progress yet to come.
