When is the training?

Arena Academy 201 is held online April 1-3. The first day is a half-day beginning at around 4 p.m. ET, and the other two days begin at noon ET and end around 6 p.m. ET.

Who is the training for?

This training is perfect for anyone who aspires to or is currently managing a team or a program on a campaign. The ideal applicant has worked at least one campaign cycle (at least three months) and wants to continue working in progressive politics this cycle.

What will I learn?

We will begin our time together with a leadership self-assessment to help you get to know your strengths. Then we’ll cover topics like how to build effective teams, give feedback, and have tough conversations. We’ll also cover budgeting, working with consultants, and setting effective goals.

What does the training cost?

The training costs $200, and scholarships are available. At past trainings, 67% of participants have received full or partial scholarships.

What happens after Arena Academy 201?

You’ll join a diverse community of more than 2,000 Arena-trained staffers who you can connect with and learn from. If you’re looking for a job, you’ll get connected with our Arena Careers team for support. They provide resume training, interview coaching, and referrals for roles. If you’re already employed, you can still work with our Careers team to help grow your team or to think through your next transition.

Why management training?

We believe good managers change lives and win campaigns while bad managers can cause talented, and often historically marginalized, people to leave progressive politics. We want to strengthen the Democratic talent pipeline by supporting you in your professional development and helping hundreds of people gain the skills to be savvy, inclusive, and impactful leaders.

If Arena Academy 201 isn't for you please forward this email to someone you think should apply or spread the word on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn.
