Africa & Europe
Pray for a change of heart in would-be perpetrators of violence against women and children in Uganda. Pray that successful prosecutions of abusive people would be seen and the warning heeded that women and children will be protected by the law and government of Uganda.
Latin America
Join the Bolivia team in praying for their casework volunteer networks, the AVES & PROBOS program and the Catholic University of Bolivia’s Legal Clinic. The team has trained and accompanied these groups who have volunteered to manage casework for victims of violence until their cases arrive at a sentence. The team’s prayer is that these volunteers would experience grace, patience, and hope that will encourage them to persevere through the complications and delays in the justice system due to COVID-19.
South Asia
Please pray for legal cases still moving slowly through the local courts. Most of our courts were closed or restricted during the peaks of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has delayed many anti-trafficking trials. These courts are now reopening, but with a huge backlog of cases. Please pray for diligent follow-through in these courts so that survivors can get justice swiftly and sensitively.
Southeast Asia
Praise God for the successful soft opening of the new IJM office for Manila-based staff! Please pray that God will sustain our staff as they manage heavy caseloads. Pray that they will adjust to the new office location well and for joy as they get back into the rhythm of going into the office.
