Dear Friend,

We support the courageous people of Ukraine, and our hearts break every time we see a video or photo of Russian destruction. I cannot imagine the pain and fear they are going through.

But there is hope. The EU will allow Ukrainian refugees the opportunity to live, work, and access social services in the EU countries for up to three years. For that we are grateful. The U.S. must follow suit and increase the capacity of the refugee resettlement program to prepare and streamline humanitarian aid, security, and assistance to refugees fleeing this crisis. Sign the petition to support Ukrainian refugees today.

ign the Petition

While we celebrate this historic moment of solidarity, we must remember the people still in Ukraine trying to escape—75,000 African and South Asian international students. Border guards beat them and put them in long lines in the freezing cold while letting Ukrainian nationals cross into Poland. This is unacceptable.

That’s why we’re calling on the U.S. to work with its allies to ensure safe passage out of Ukraine for all LGBTQ people, particularly for African migrants who face disproportionate barriers at the border. Sign the petition to urge the U.S. to take an active role in coordinating refugee resettlement, lifting the burden on other countries, and making it easier for refugees to come to America.
