Issue 9

My fellow Republicans,

I am incredibly grateful to the volunteers who worked tirelessly to run a very successful Primary. I want to congratulate and thank our Primary Administrator Lille Gough, and Assistant Primary Administrator Marian Stanko. For most races we now have a party nominee. I hope you will resolve to do everything possible to elect our nominees in November. It’s not too soon to be talking to voters in your family, your church, and your precinct about why you support these candidates.

I can't overstate what a great Primary this was for the Republican Party of Bexar County. With a fantastic slate of excellent candidates, we had a larger turnout than the 2020 Presidential year turnout! Over 88,000 Bexar voters voted in our Primary.

For others, including your Chairman, this begins ten more weeks of campaigning. Be aware that our Primary runoff election will occur on May 24. Many of you are candidates for Precinct Chair, and that election also falls on that date.

In the meantime, there will be local city, school district and bond elections on May 7. We need to be involved in that “non-partisan” election on May 7 both because it’s a good practice and because our taxes and the education of our children will be at stake in that election.
