Before I was elected to City Council, I spent 12 years fighting to keep polluting industries out of my neighborhood of Barrio Logan and other South Bay communities like it. After being elected, I worked tirelessly to pass smarter climate policies and create a greener San Diego.
Needless to say, oil corporations aren't my biggest fan.
They know I'm going to bring that same fight for our environment to Sacramento. That's why Big Oil has been pouring money into my opponent's campaign and outside attack ads.
My priority has always been working folks, not special interests.
