Instead of casting a vision for a strong and prosperous America, Biden announced plans to deplete our strategic oil reserve, and he didn’t even mention viable plans to curb inflation, secure the border, stop the crime wave, stand up to Russian aggression, stop the fentanyl epidemic, fix the supply chain, and secure American energy.
He has become a crisis president by exacerbating every crisis we are facing. His policies are the weakest and worst in American history, and the results speak for themselves.
The most shameful part of Biden’s speech was that he didn’t even mention the 13 heroes who died on his watch in Afghanistan. When he mentioned flag draped coffins, I could not stay silent. I stood up and told him that he did it—he put 13 servicemembers in flag draped coffins. The families of those 13 heroes deserved to be recognized during the State of the Union, and when Joe Biden didn’t have the courage to do it, I stood up.
Joe Biden didn’t mention Afghanistan, and he also didn’t mention the record-breaking border crisis, the fact that enough fentanyl to kill every American seven times over has been smuggled by cartels, the dangerous crime crisis plaguing our cities, and the supply chain crisis that still plagues small businesses across the country. And, the only mention of inflation was blaming employers—well, here is some news for Joe Biden: inflation is YOUR fault.

It was great visiting the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce to discuss issues facing Colorado small businesses, including inflation, government bureaucracy, and supply chain shortages. I am getting to work cutting red tape and unleashing small businesses to be the economic powerhouses they are designed to be. As a small business owner, I want entrepreneurs to know that I have their back and am doing everything I can to help them do their jobs well.
While in Grand Junction, I also visited the Mesa County Workforce Center and learned about the great strides they are making to put Colorado back to work. In 2021, they hosted 41 hiring events and helped 8,000 people find jobs. I am working to create workforce solutions that prioritize apprenticeships, entrepreneurs, and local small businesses. As a small business owner, I know no government program is more effective than a job and no handout is better than a paycheck.
Additionally, I sent a letter to the Chair and Ranking Member on the House Committee on Education and Labor to request that future funding decision impacting Colorado’s Workforce Centers keep local control over funding and decision-making. Colorado is already leading the country with innovative Workforce Center policies and shifting to a top-down funding model would destroy our progress.

The best solution to the imposing energy crisis is an all-of-the-above approach that puts America first and creates American energy dominance. Each year, the Colowyo Mine in Meeker produces $200 million for local economies, supports 200 jobs, and provides reliable and affordable clean coal for rural communities.
Colorado was founded on miners, and it is wrong for us to turn our back on them now. I am proud to stand with our miners, and I will remain a fierce advocate for an all-of-the-above approach to dependable energy.

American energy security starts with passing my Protecting American Energy Jobs Act. It will nullify and defund Biden’s executive orders shutting down domestic energy production, and it will get America back on track to export clean energy and freedom around the world.
It is about time that the world stop using Russian oil and gas, and my Protecting American Energy Jobs Act is the perfect solution. Unfortunately, Democrats in Congress are sitting on their hands, which is why Rep. Chip Roy and I are leading a discharge petition to force a vote on my bill. Americans deserve to know where their Members of Congress stand on energy issues, and my discharge petition will put them on the record.
I also co-sponsored the American Energy Independence from Russia Act to immediately approve the Keystone XL Pipeline, restart oil and gas leasing on federal lands and waters, and protect American energy from future attacks from the Biden administration.

It was great to visit the site of the new Moffat County Courthouse in Craig. I talked with local officials about important issues facing Colorado like wolves threatening livestock, my active forest management bill designed to reduce wildfires, the Wolf Creek Reservoir Project, and government overreach through land-grabs disguised as sage-grouse conservation plan revisions. I am your voice in Congress, and I am working as hard as I can to keep the heavy hand of government out of our rural way of life.

I had a great visit with Delta County elected officials to discuss infrastructure investments the county is making to enhance public safety. One of my top priorities in Congress is to back the blue and enable local first responders to do their jobs effectively and get home safe. While liberals want to defund the police, I want to fund the police and give them the resources and training they need to protect our communities effectively.
Supporting rural communities is one of my top priorities, which is why my Active Forest Management, Wildfire Prevention, and Community Protection Act sets aside 25% of forestry revenue to be reinvested into rural communities to fund law enforcement, firefighting, infrastructure, education, and other important priorities.

Fox News, Boebert on heckling Biden's State of the Union: You're darn right I spoke up “When Joe Biden started talking about flag-draped coffins, I got fired up. My mind went straight to the 13 soldiers that died in Afghanistan. The mother of one of those heroes lives in my district. She told me Joe Biden killed her son. So you're darn right I spoke up. And if I could redo last night, I would absolutely do it again. The left … got upset – they attacked me for it. That's fine. I can take it, but I will always speak the truth.”
Washington Times, Boebert defends her heckling Biden about service members killed in Afghanistan “‘We’re getting a lot of people saying thank you, because these 13 service members would not have been mentioned, would not have been brought up, had that reaction not taken place last night,” Mrs. Boebert said. Mr. Biden’s speech made no mention of…the death of the 13 troops or the Americans and Afghan allies left stranded…‘I really don’t give a darn about a breach of decorum when our 13 service members are completely ignored by the man responsible for their deaths,’ Mrs. Boebert said.”
Daily Wire, Rep. Boebert Wears ‘Drill Baby Drill’ Outfit to Biden SOTU “The attire comes as gas prices hit a seven-year high. Notably, Biden has canceled the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline and recently halted new oil and gas leases indefinitely.”
