A Historic Meeting in DC
This was a historic week in Washington and at AIPAC.
Yesterday, AIPAC hosted His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain – the first visit by a head of government from an Arab country to the AIPAC headquarters.
The Crown Prince was joined by senior members of the Bahraini government, including Manama’s Foreign Minister, Ambassador to the United States, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and several others in key leadership positions.
Members of Congress from both parties also attended – many just having returned from Israel with AIPAC’s education foundation – and engaged in an important discussion about America’s shared interests in the region.
This remarkable event is a showcase of the growing bonds between the U.S., Israel and Bahrain, and underscores the unique role we play in advancing and expanding peace.
Thank you for working with AIPAC to make historic moments like these possible, and for helping to keep our ally Israel safe.
