Texas Values Action Update

Primary Elections Took Place in Texas This Week & Precinct Conventions This Weekend!

On March 1, 2022, Texas voters cast their vote in the Primaries.  Texas Values Action had a 90% success rate on its endorsements.  Most of our endorsed candidates won outright, with only nine candidates moving on to run-off elections in May.

Precinct conventions are happening over the weekend.  We encourage you to write, present, and vote for pro-life and pro-family resolutions. Find out where yours is here

Congratulations to the following candidates on their wins: Dan Patrick for Texas Lt. Governor; Rep. Matt Schaefer, Rep. Mike Schofield, Rep. Cecil Bell Jr., and Rep. Valoree Swanson on winning re-election to their House Seats and many more! They are leaders for pro-life, pro-family, and pro-religious freedom issues. Glenn Hegar won for Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.   Texas Values Action worked very closely with Rep. Valoree Swanson, author of the Save Women’s Sports law, on ensuring a fair playing field for girls in sports.  She won by a landslide with nearly 70% of the vote.  Congratulations to all!

Texas Heartbeat Law authors Senator Bryan Hughes and Representative Shelby Slawson for Texas, Attorney General Ken Paxton, Alveda King, and Chelsey Youman of the Texas State Director for Human Coalition were present.

March 8: Texas Values to Host Documentary on How the Left is Trying to Pollute the Minds of Schoolchildren with Inappropriate Sex Ed Material

Texas Values along with the organizations It Takes A Family and Concerned Parents of Texas are hosting a public viewing of the documentary of The Mind Polluters on Tuesday, March 8, from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. at Great Hills Baptist Church located at 10500 Jollyville Road, Austin, TX in the church’s “Great Hall”.

The documentary details the efforts of grassroots volunteers, legislators, and Christian academics to expose and stop the efforts of corrupt organizations and groups that seek to infiltrate the nation's school systems with pornographic and pedophilia materials.

The event is FREE to the public, but there is a suggested $10 donation for those who would like to contribute. We ask that NO CHILDREN attend the event due to the sensitive and mature nature of the content discussed in the movie.

Radical Federal Abortion-on-Demand Bill Defeated!

This week, a radical abortion-on-demand bill that would have overturned every pro-life law nationwide and allowed abortion up until birth has been blocked by the U.S. Senate. This so called “Women’s Health Protection Act,” better known as the Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act, would have overturned every pro-life law nationwide and allowed abortion up until birth in every state. H.R. 3755 is a direct assault on women's healthcare and unborn children. It was an attempt by liberals to allow abortion-on-demand in every state, having seen the success of the Texas Heartbeat Law and the possible overturning of abortion precedent at the U.S. Supreme Court.

Arina Grossu on the Texas Values Report

Last week, Arina Grossu, Pro-Life Leader and Policy & Communications Advisor to Texas Values, joined Jonathan Saenz, Texas Values President, live from CPAC 2022! They spoke about the Texas Heartbeat law and the possible overturning of Roe v. Wade.
