It was just a week ago when conflict began to escalate in Ukraine. Since then, hundreds of thousands of children have experienced the most devastating impacts — from the daily threats of danger to separation from their families and displacement in the surging refugee crisis. The situation is intensifying, but UNICEF is actively rushing help.

Our teams in Ukraine and neighboring countries are working nonstop to deliver lifesaving services to children and families. Their needs are critical and their faces tell the story.

In just seven days, UNHCR reports that one million people have fled Ukraine, including 2- year- old Marc and his mother.

3- year- old Luna and her mother are among those receiving care at one of UNICEF's Blue Dot service centers stationed across the Ukrainian border.

Still, there’s hope as UNICEF does everything it takes to protect children like 4-month-old, Salah-Arsalan.
