Friend,
Some of you may not know this, but this campaign for Congress won't be my first time going toe-to-toe with Ryan Zinke. Back in 2017 while working for the Trump Administration, Zinke put Bears Ears on the chopping block – reducing its size by 85%.
Bears Ears is one of the most significant archaeological sites in the United States. It's importance to science and its tribal descendants can't be understated. Not to mention it's one of the most striking and beautiful monuments in the world.
When I caught news of Zinke’s plans, I knew I had to do something. So, I joined with local activists in Utah to restore Bears Ears, bringing with me my Montana roots and love for our public lands.

The voices, hard work, and history of the communities of Bears Ears were honored when the Biden Administration announced the restoration of the Bears Ears National Monument. It was a huge step, but we still must work to protect it.
Zinke is already calling Biden's reversal part of a “radical, left wing” agenda. He should try telling that to the Indigenous communities who have ties to Bears Ears dating back centuries. It's shameful, but it's a familiar attack that politicians hide behind when their true motive is protecting corporate interests.
Montana deserves better than Ryan Zinke, but we can only defeat him with widespread grassroots support. If you can, please chip in $3 so we can work to prevent what happened in Utah from happening in our own state.
