The ongoing tragedy in Ukraine due to Russia’s unprovoked and unconscionable invasion is heart-wrenching.

Over one million Ukrainians have been forced to flee their homes, leaving behind communities toppled to the ground by Russian missiles and tanks. More horrifically, the siege has now entered residential zones, killing hundreds of civilians, including children.

Left in the wake of this senseless act of violence, are thousands of Ukrainian refugees in desperate need of food, shelter, and humanitarian aid.

That's why today I'm asking for your support for two organizations working on the frontlines of this humanitarian crisis – World Central Kitchen and UNICEF. World Central Kitchen is providing desperately needed warm meals to refugees fleeing violence, and UNICEF is one of the leading organizations helping displaced Ukrainian children and families. In times like these, it can be easy to retreat into anger and despair, but we cannot. Right now, it matters more than ever that we come together and offer our support to the Ukrainian people.

We must stand in solidarity with Ukrainian people, our Eastern European allies, the hundreds of thousands of refugees, and the brave Russian citizens protesting Putin’s dictatorship. We cannot let history repeat itself.
