You may have heard on the news that the Build Back Better Act is dead – but this is all political theater, designed to distract us into giving up the fight. The President’s statement reinforced what we already know– while the bill will ultimately have a different name, the Senate is still negotiating, and the vital funding for HCBS is still included! Even as political circumstances change, HCBS remains a priority in the new bill, thanks to your calls.

It is thanks to your dogged work that this funding is still on the table even as the bill itself goes through countless changes. With so much happening behind the scenes, the next steps are unclear.
