Hi John,
The scores are in. Our national affiliate the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) has published its 2021 National Environmental Scorecard!
Over the past 50 years, LCV has published the National Environmental Scorecard each year to track the environmental voting records of every member of Congress.
The scorecard shines a light on elected leaders’ policy positions and empowers us to hold them accountable for issues we care about most – clean air and clean water, climate change, environmental justice, voting rights, racial justice, and democracy.
How did members of the Wisconsin Congressional Delegation stand up for climate action and democracy last year? Text SCORECARD to 877-877 or check out the newly released 2021 National Environmental Scorecard to find out who stood up for you.
2021 brought heightened attacks on the foundation of our democracy and underscored the continued need to reckon with systemic racism. These are inextricably linked with the devastating impacts of the climate crisis – which puts the health of Wisconsin communities at risk.
When elected officials like Ron Johnson, one of the country’s most vocal anti-science lawmakers, prevent climate legislation from passing and undermine the integrity of our elections, they put our health and democracy at risk. We cannot accept this.
As we look ahead to 2022, it's up to us to hold the Wisconsin Delegation accountable to pass legislation that will ensure a healthier, safer, more equitable climate and democracy for all.
