Hello Friend,

This week, the State Bar of California announced it will take action on the ethics complaint lodged against John Eastman who, working alongside Rudolph Giuliani and former DOJ lawyer Jeffrey C. Clark, actively engaged in efforts to reverse the results of the 2020 presidential election. LDAD’s complaint in this matter was signed by more than 1,300 people.

LDAD is proud of the detailed and methodical work that precedes the filing of its ethics complaints against those lawyers who have violated their oath, including against former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani (whose license to practice law was suspended in June), former Attorney General William Barr, Texas Attorney General Kenneth Paxton, and Former Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Clark for legal ethics violations.

In other news, the National Law Journal has published an op-ed by LDAD’s Executive Director Lauren Stiller Rikleen. The piece discusses the upcoming confirmation hearings for President Biden’s nominee for the Supreme Court, Ketanji Brown Jackson, and whether we can expect an insightful and incisive process or a “national embarrassment.” Read it here.

As a supporter of ours, we hope you take pride in the work we are doing to protect the rule of law and to engage the public in ensuring that lawyers act with truth and integrity.

Our ongoing work, however, depends on your generosity. Please make a tax-deductible financial contribution via this link: donate here
