John,
The U.N.’s latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report makes it very clear: We have a tiny window of time to combat climate change.
The report states that extreme weather events, including droughts, floods and heatwaves, are increasing and causing greater damage. Some scientists are calling this report “the bleakest warning yet.”
The world is nearly out of time to take immediate, decisive action to avert the worst impacts of climate change and preserve our chance of a livable future for generations to come. Tell President Biden and Congress: We need urgent climate action NOW to avoid complete global climate chaos!

The IPCC report paints an ominous picture of a world already slipping into the realm of devastating, irreversible climate chaos.
But despite the bleak outlook, there is one silver lining: If we act now — and act boldly — we can still avoid a much worse climate future, which will make a tremendous difference in how livable our planet is for billions of people.
Right now there's a bill in Congress that would move us toward a future without fossil fuels, and we need all of our representatives to get behind it. The Future Generations Protection Act would:
-- Ban greenhouse gas emissions from all new power plants;
-- Ban fracking; and
-- Ban crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids exports.
In addition to action from Congress, we need President Biden to lead us back from the climate cliff by using his public platform and executive powers to tackle this crisis head on. The United States has been responsible for more emissions than any other country on Earth and has the largest economy in the world. President Biden needs to lead with his actions, and it’s up to us to compel him to do it.
Take action today! Urge President Biden to declare a climate emergency and tell your representative to cosponsor the Future Generations Protection Act!

Urgent Climate Action Now!

Now is the moment we must demand our elected leaders halt all new fossil fuel development. At the same time, we need a rapid, aggressive ramping-up of truly clean, renewable energy. Only bold action will spare the planet and its people from a dire climate future.
Together we can move past the fossil fuel era, protect our water and food supplies, and save the planet from irreversible climate chaos. But we have to act NOW.
