Folks, the ongoing war in Ukraine is dire and deserving of every American to stand up and call out Vladimir Putin’s illegal occupation of sovereign territory.
But, within hours of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, here’s what happened:
- Donald Trump referred to Putin’s invasion as “genius.”
- Sarah Huckabee Sanders posted a photo where she reaffirmed her loyalty to Trump.
Trump has prioritized the interests of an evil autocrat over the interests of Americans and Arkansans. We believe it’s time for Sarah Huckabee Sanders to disavow President Trump’s rhetoric and stand with all of us in support of Ukraine.

Donald Trump and his far-right allies just don’t get it, team: this excessive display of force from Vladimir Putin isn’t something anyone should give kudos on.
Ukrainians deserve liberty, democracy, and freedom. It’s simple: as people living in the greatest democracy in the world, this war waged by Putin must be condemned by every American.
Instead, Donald Trump took the opportunity to congratulate Putin on his “genius” plan. It’s inconceivable that Sarah Huckabee Sanders has remained silent since Trump’s anti-American comments.
