This primary season, y’all showed up for Texas, and I can’t thank you enough. I know I speak for all of us here at NextGen America when I say how proud I am of all of our organizers, volunteers, and voters across the state.

What we achieved together in Texas is nothing short of historic. Our month of statewide outreach represents one of the largest youth-focused voter mobilization campaigns in Texas primary history.

Here’s how we did it:

• Contacted a total of 2,259,081 million young voters in Texas through texts, calls, and in-person contacts throughout February;
• Hosted nearly 50 events across the state from the start of early voting on February 14;
• 1764 volunteer shifts completed online or offline by volunteers across the country;
• Connected with voters in all 254 Texas counties and 2,273 different zip codes.

Without you, none of this would have been possible.

When we look at these primary efforts, there’s no doubt that young voters are shaping the future of our state. And by making these on-the-ground connections with millions of young voters, we’re laying the groundwork for youth participation in the 2022 general elections, and all elections to come.
