On Wednesday, over 300 of our members and advocates from the #Coverage4All Coalition joined us in Albany for the largest demonstration at the Capitol since the start of the pandemic. Joining us were our bill champions including Assemblymember Richard Gottfried, prime co-sponsor of Coverage4All, and Assemblymembers Taylor Darling, Harvey Epstein, Nathalia Fernandez, Jessica Gonzales-Rojas, Marcela Mitaynes, Zohran Mamdani, Manny De Los Santos, and Yuh-Line Niou. We rallied to demand Governor Hochul and the New York Legislative Leaders to include Coverage4All in the NYS budget, which would expand lifesaving health coverage to 46,000 undocumented immigrant New Yorkers.

In recent weeks, we were able to get Coverage4All passed through the NYS Assembly and Senate Health committees. While Wednesday’s rally was clear progress towards victory, our fight is far from over. We need you to demand lawmakers in Albany provide necessary and equitable health coverage for New York—your voice is critical to our movement!
