Watch February Parent University Webinar
Last month Hunger Free America's Child Nutrition department, in partnership with the New York City Department of Education, held its first webinar in a series for parents. February's webinar focused on the WIC program (Women, Infants, & Children.)
Did you know that March is also Women's History Month? Hunger Free America will be highlighting influential women who fought for equal access to nutritious food, and fought against poverty and gender inequality throughout history, and in the present day.
Join Hunger Free America on Tuesday, March 8th at 11am ET, for a virtual panel discussion with Priya Fielding-Singh of her book, "How the Other Half Eats: The Untold Story of Food and Inequality in America."
From her years of field research, sociologist and ethnographer Fielding-Singh brings us into the kitchens of dozens of families to explore how- and why- we eat the way we do. Her book is timely and important, and was recently featured in the New York Times.
