| John - Six weeks before the September 11th attack on the United States, I was appointed to serve as the first Native American General Counsel of the Army. In the weeks following September 11th, Amanda Makki was appointed to work alongside me. During one of the most crucial times in America, Amanda was a vital part of the defense of our nation. Now Amanda is running for Congress in Florida's 13th Congressional District.
