On March 17, CLC is debuting a new podcast series called “Democracy Decoded.” In this series, we’ll examine how our government works and discuss innovative ideas that could lead to a stronger, more transparent, accountable and inclusive democracy.

A little about me: I'm Simone Leeper, and I’ll be your host for the podcast. I’ll chat with experts from across the political spectrum and take a deep dive into the forces fueling our elections, not just in our nation’s capital but at all levels of government.
Some of the expert guests I’ll talk to this season include:
Trevor Potter, former Chairman of the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and founder and president of Campaign Legal Center
Shana Broussard, Commissioner and former Chairwoman of the Federal Election Commission
Ellen Chaffee, member of the North Dakotans for Public Integrity, a.k.a. the “Badass Grandmas”
Christina Henderson, Washington, D.C. Councilmember At-Large
When I’m not hosting this podcast, I litigate a wide range of redistricting-related cases in my role at CLC as legal counsel, redistricting. I challenge gerrymanders and advocate for election systems that guarantee all voters an equal opportunity to influence our democracy.
I want to give a special shoutout to CLC's Casey Atkins and Brendan Quinn, who worked hard to make this podcast possible. Thank you!
The nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center is dedicated to advancing democracy through law at the federal, state and local levels, fighting for every American’s rights to responsive government and a fair opportunity to participate in and affect the democratic process.
