URGENT: The Texas GOP is continuing to attack trans children and their
families.
We need to fight back by hitting them where it hurts most: their
wallets.

John, our trans
children and loved ones are being attacked by the GOP.
Last week, Texas Governor Greg Abbott ordered that Texas parents be
investigated for child abuse — and possibly even separate their children
from loving and supportive families – simply for affirming their child’s
gender expression.
[ [link removed] ]Headline from the Texas Tribune reads: Transgender Texas kids are
terrified after governor orders that parents be investigated for child
abuse. Some experts doubt that classifying gender-affirming care as child
abuse would hold up in court, but families still feel targeted by Gov.
Greg Abbott's new order.
Last year, Abbott called three back-to-back special legislative sessions,
and in every single one he put discrimination against transgender children
on his priorities list.
Advocates and organizers on the ground did everything they could to fight
against these bills, session after session. But the Republican-led Texas
legislature jammed these hateful bills through to Abbott’s desk, including
banning transgender youth from participating in school sports with their
peers.
Loving your child isn’t abuse. Republicans’ transphobic bills will harm
lives and tear families apart. So we have to hit them where it hurts – in
their wallets.

It’s absolutely critical we stop this attack on trans children and we know
that the best way to pull the attention of these Republicans is by pulling
support from their biggest financial donors.
Women’s March will continue to fight alongside the LGBTQ+ community and we
are ready to protect trans children in Texas and everywhere. [ [link removed] ]Join us by

anti-trans politicians.
