I'm ready to continue to take on the hard fights like this one and to be your voice in Congress.

John,

This week, President Biden delivered his State of the Union Address, and I was proud to hear him share many of the wins we’ve delivered for families under his leadership.

Together we passed the American Rescue Plan, providing direct relief to families and small businesses and helping get millions vaccinated. We began what President Biden called an “infrastructure decade” with the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act that invested in public transportation and clean air and water, and created good jobs for Americans.

But I know there's still work left to do.

Working families in my community and across the country are still struggling to get by and immigrants still desperately need relief and a path to citizenship. Progressive Democrats have been the leading voices behind our party’s big wins and today, we’re going to continue to build on the progress we’ve made.

One thing at the top of my list is canceling student debt.

With one stroke of the pen, the president has the power to end this crushing burden that disproportionately affects Latino and Black Americans. But President Biden still hasn't committed to following through on this promise.

I'm ready to continue to take on the hard fights like this one and to be your voice in Congress. And I hope I can count on you to fight by my side.

Thank you,
Chuy
