Today I’m emailing you about something a little different. I want you to
meet my adorable, spunky and lovable little buddy, Jackson (or as
everybody calls him, Jax).

Jax has a rare autoimmune disorder called IPEX and needs a bone marrow
transplant. But first, he needs to find a match. For patients with blood
diseases, a marrow transplant may be their only cure. Without this
transplant, he will not grow or thrive.

I’ve been swabbed to see if I’m a match, and I ask if you’d consider being
swabbed as well.

Will you text JAX to 61474 to see if you’re a match? If you’re a match,
you could help save this little boy’s life.

Jackson’s best chance at a match is someone who shares his heritage.
Sadly, the odds of finding a bone marrow match isn’t a level playing
field. That’s why I need your help.

There is a severe lack of diversity in bone marrow banks. White people
have a 79% chance of finding a bone marrow match. Compare this to 29% for
Black folks, and 47% for Hispanic or Latino folks.

We can ALL have a part in making sure our little buddy Jax has a long,
healthy life — as well as the many others who will need bone marrow in the
future.

to get your swab kit in the mail?
