None of the progress of the past year could have happened without the narrow Democratic House majority that we currently hold.

John,

As I watched President Biden's State of the Union address on Tuesday night, I thought about how elections have consequences and how even a handful of votes can shape the course of a country.

President Biden spoke of how our country has emerged in a far better position over the last year to fight COVID-19. He celebrated the record job growth we've seen. And he noted that we're no longer talking about infrastructure weeks -- we've now started an infrastructure decade that will see a better electrical grid, more accessible transportation, and expanded broadband access.

None of this could have happened without the Democratic House majority that we currently hold. Even though we control the chamber by just five votes, we've managed to stick together to pass the American Rescue Plan and American Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. These bills are why our country is moving in the right direction.

House Democrats have also advanced legislation that will lower the cost of living for millions of families, improve American competition, and invest in a new clean energy future. I will never stop fighting for these goals, but if I lose my seat and Republicans take the House, all of our chances for further progress will stall.

So I need your help in what's shaping up to be my closest race yet. Republicans are zeroing in on VA-10 after Glenn Youngkin nearly carried it last November. March is our first end-of-quarter month of the year, and every donation matters before our public finance deadline. If you can chip in just $10 to help us start the month strong, it will make a huge difference.
