Hey there—I just couldn’t resist sending around this photo of me after stumbling upon it the other day.

I mean seriously ... have you ever seen a kid so happy? And just look at those (missing) teeth!

I won’t lie, running for Senate is tough—like really tough. My GOP opponents are spending MILLIONS of dollars trying to tear me down.

So sometimes, in between all the campaigning and the fundraising, I have to take a moment for myself. And when I come across a photo like the one above, I’m immediately reminded of why I’m in this fight in the first place.

I’m running for Senate to represent the backbone of Ohio—the working families like the one that raised me and future generations of Ohioans who deserve a fair shake. Because right now, the rich are getting richer, and everyday Ohioans are working harder, making less, and falling further behind.

Mitch McConnell and my millionaire GOP opponents don’t give a damn about working families. They’ve proven that time and time again. So I’m running to represent every young, smiling kid growing up in Ohio who deserves an equal chance at success.
