The United Methodist Council of Bishops has received word from United Methodist Bishop Eduard Khegay, Resident Bishop of Eurasia Episcopal Area in the Northern Europe and Eurasia Central Conferences, that the best way to provide financial support to Ukraine is to contribute through the Global Ministries Advance for Eurasia and designate your gift for Ukrainian Assistance. Cyber Security: A Warning from Wespath
Russian aggression in Ukraine and the economic sanctions response from the U.S. and its allies, have increased the prevalence and risk of cyberattacks internationally. The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has issued a rare “Shields Up” warning to organizations and individuals.
According to CISA, you can take simple steps to improve your cyber security and protect yourself online:
- Implement multi-factor authentication on your accounts.
- Update your software. In fact, turn on automatic updates.
- Think before you click. If you don’t recognize an email and/or link, trust your instincts and delete it.
- Use strong passwords, and ideally a password manager to generate and store unique passwords.
