This event will feature an eminent panel of speakers from the fields of law, policy, higher education, and will speak to the role of Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) in India’s quest for gender equality. They will share insights on a repertoire of equality concerns. The Dialogue will culminate with the launch of a unique and innovative Handbook ‘Navigating the Terrain of Gender Justice: A Handbook for Gender Audits at Higher Education Institutes in India’. The Handbook introduces participatory Gender Audits as one of the many ways in which HEIs can engage with the complex and vexed terrain of gender equality on campuses. It offers a practical roadmap for institutes to push the envelope on gender justice at their campus and design interventions that are suited to the location, historical context, priorities and structural possibilities for innovation and change at each institute. | | | To see more upcoming events, view the latest Events Hotline. | | The jobs and events hotlines are accessible to WIIS members only. In an animated discussion with Ilana Bet-El, the two Ambassadors explore perceptions of defense and security within foreign affairs and how they apply with regard to current tensions between Russia, Ukraine, and NATO — and the position of the EU. They also explain how and why they chose the world of defense and security world, their reflections on being a woman NATO Ambassador both now and in previous years, and the question of whether the EU is perceived as feminine on matters of defense. | | |
