Friends –

The images coming out of Ukraine are ungodly.

Just recently, many of us watched a video circulating of a Russian attack on a residential neighborhood where a children’s playset had been completely torched.

This is a devastating, unprovoked war on the nation of Ukraine, and the truth is it’s not clear when it will end. Already, more than 2,000 civilians have died and more than a million people have been forced to flee their homes.

Here in Congress, I’m working to pass an emergency funding bill that will get humanitarian and defensive aid to Ukraine immediately.

But I also know a lot of folks are wondering how they can support the Ukrainian people as they fight for their lives, nation and democracy.

I believe one of the best things we can do right now is to give to aid organizations on the ground who are helping civilians facing armed conflict and brutal weather conditions. This includes Ukrainians who fled to other parts of the country to escape the fighting and those who have crossed the border to seek shelter in neighboring countries.

Save the Children’s Ukraine fund does just that. They are providing children and families with immediate aid, such as food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support and cash assistance.

Please consider making a donation to Save the Children’s Ukraine fund to directly aid children and families in grave danger as a result of this war. Your support can help save lives.

I know this is a tumultuous and anxious time for many. My thoughts are with the brave Ukrainian people, and the Ukrainian-Americans here in our own community who are worried about their loved ones abroad.

Every best wish,

Chris Murphy
