John,
Susan Collins is at it again. She claims to support abortion rights, but just this week she refused to codify Roe v. Wade in law by voting against the Women’s Health Protection Act. It’s a classic page out of the Susan Collins playbook – telling one story to get a favorable headline, but refusing to actually stand up for Mainers.
Will Susan Collins ever actually do anything to support abortion rights? Or will she just continue to lie to us? Every time she confirms anti-abortion judges and votes against legislation that protects reproductive rights, she puts Mainers at risk.
We must protect reproductive rights in Maine, and we can’t count on Susan Collins to help us. Will you help me elect Democrats who will protect our rights? Donate $5, $10, $20.22, $50, $100 or whatever you can. [link removed]
No matter what Mainers ask Susan Collins to do, she will always find an excuse to say no. We pleaded with her to vote against Justice Kavanaugh. She refused to listen. Now, abortion rights are at risk nationwide because of the anti-abortion judges and justices that she has voted for, and Collins still won’t vote to codify Roe v. Wade.
She claims to have voted against the WHPA because of concerns about religious freedoms. In actuality, Republicans like Collins want states to retain the ability to regulate the right to an abortion out of existence through waiting periods, mandatory ultrasounds, and other laws designed to deter Americans from accessing safe abortions.
Reproductive rights are at risk in this country, and Susan Collins is one of the main reasons why. Pitch in $5, $10, $20.22, $50, $100 or whatever you can to help us tell Susan Collins that we want elected officials who will actually protect reproductive rights, not just claim to. [link removed]
