** EIA in Kenya for a global plastics treaty! ([link removed])

EIA is proud to have set the ball rolling towards achieving a global plastics treaty and after years of hard work – revealing the extent of the problem and its impacts on human health and the environment, making the case for a binding treaty and building international partnerships – our Ocean team is currently on the ground in Nairobi to press a key meeting of the United Nations Environment Assembly to agree a treaty that is ambitious and fit for purpose to stem the flow of plastic pollution.

World Pangolin Day in February put the spotlight on this unique species which has become the most illegally traded mammal in the world and we urged that advantage be taken of opportunities in 2022 to make significant strides in pangolin conservation.
