A new CNN opinion piece gets right to the point about gerrymandering:

Politicians are stripping Black voters of their voice in Congress: 'In states like Georgia and Louisiana, Black people make up about one-third of the population – but are crowded into far fewer congressional districts. Instead, growing Black and Latino neighborhoods have been sliced and diced... Pushing the horizon for multiracial democracy yet another decade down the road.'

Is Republicans’ attempt to squash the political power of Black voters extremely disturbing? Yes. Should you lose hope? NO! Because the NDRC is pushing hard to END Republican gerrymandering, and our strategy is working!

★ The Washington Post reports that “Surprisingly, there has been a redistricting turnaround ”
★ Among recent fair-redistricting wins, voters in Pennsylvania and Minnesota are getting maps that reflect the makeup of those states!
★ Courts have sided with fair redistricting advocates in states like Ohio, Oregon, and more.
★ And our team continues to work in states around the country to block gerrymandering!

But we could really use your support – so please, will you pitch in right away to help us keep up this CRITICAL work?
