Since Monday when The New Yorker published a feature article about our legal fight to #FreeHappy, it’s been liked, shared, and reposted hundreds of times, including by singer Cher who tweeted out her support! If you use Twitter, please help us by liking and commenting on Cher’s tweet so that even more people see her tweet and the article.

Thank you, John, for all the ways you’ve supported us this week and in the past to raise awareness of why Happy and all elephants deserve the right to live freely. To celebrate this feature story, we’re giving away signed copies of this edition of The New Yorker with any donation of $500 or more given in March*. The New Yorker article makes clear why we’re demanding that Happy secure the right to bodily liberty that will send her to a sanctuary where she can again live as an elephant. As world-renowned elephant expert and friend of the NhRP Dr. Joyce Poole told the article’s author,  “If we can’t save elephants, what can we save?”
