Will you help your sisters and brothers in Ukraine today?
Dear John,
A humanitarian crisis is quickly growing in Ukraine after Russia launched a large-scale invasion on February 24.
Ukraine is on the world stage. But with your support, Catholic Relief Services and its partners are on the ground responding to urgent humanitarian needs. [[link removed]] Through 17 Caritas Ukraine regional offices, we are providing food, clean water and evacuation to safe shelter.
CRS and our partners are working around the clock to address operational challenges to these efforts: Key arteries between major cities in the east are blocked by military vehicles, hampering evacuation and the transport of goods. Cash is unavailable in areas where banking systems are not working. Many have lost access to groceries, food and fuel amid freezing temperatures. Vital infrastructures, including hospitals and airports, have been damaged or destroyed.

Years of conflict in Ukraine have already displaced 1.3 million people from their homes and claimed 14,000 lives. Throughout this time, Caritas Ukraine, with support from CRS, has been providing emergency relief and recovery. Now, CRS and other agencies are preparing to support half a million refugees in neighboring countries .
I’m not sure how long this conflict will last, but I am sure about you, John, and donors like you . As someone who cares about our sisters and brothers in need around the world, your gift will help provide hot meals, safe transport to shelter, hygiene supplies, trauma counseling and more.

This situation could lead to suffering on a scale we have not seen in Europe in our lifetimes. Please give today for relief in Ukraine! [[link removed]]

P.S. We have all faced difficulties these last few years and many of us are no longer in the position to give the way we would like to. Please light a candle and say a prayer for the families of Ukraine in our online chapel. [[link removed]]
P.P.S. How are we doing? As one of our loyal supporters, your feedback is important to us. Please take our short survey. [[link removed]]
