Happy 100th birthday (in heaven) to my dad, Dennis. Yep, you read that right. My dad would have turned 100 years old on March 1. As the youngest of six kids, I had a dad at retirement age when I was a baby. My eldest sister is almost 20 years older than I am. But that never stopped my dad from being youthful and fun-loving. Better yet, his mature example of sacrifice and love for Jesus is something I often recall, even in the now-20 years since he died of cancer. The good news is, you’re probably young…and you have plenty of time to build into your legacy. Are you walking humbly with God, allowing Him to sharpen and mold your character into the likeness of Jesus? Want to start by praying through the Psalms? Take a cue from Dennis Anderson: You won’t be on this earth forever; focus today on what truly matters.
