Yesterday, we let you know the latest results from the primary election. And it’s official — we’re heading toward a runoff on May 24th against Henry Cuellar.

I’m running for Congress to represent Texas’ 28th District in Congress. The response since primary night is overwhelming — seeing everyone raise their hands to volunteer and donate since Tuesday night has me filled with gratitude for this movement.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Supporters like you are truly the backbone of our campaign to challenge the status-quo to bring bold, progressive change to South Texas.

I’m emailing right now because we’re asking for more official campaign endorsements, and I wanted to humbly request yours.

Will you sign your name to say you endorse our campaign for U.S. Congress? Your endorsement right before our runoff election would say a lot about the strength and size of the grassroots movement we’re building to win in TX-28.

The truth is that our opponent has a lot of powerful backers behind him. Last cycle Henry Cuellar had significant support from the Koch donor network, Big Oil companies, the largest private prison network GEO Group, the Club for Growth (a Trump-aligned PAC), and big corporate PACs.

You and I both know the only way someone like me can win a race like this is if we completely outnumber all those rich and powerful people with tens of thousands of grassroots supporters fighting for a progressive agenda.

In this primary election, Cuellar failed to reach 50% of the vote, which means more than half of the district is ready for a change in Congress — something this district hasn't seen in 17 years. We are so close to a huge upset. This time, we’re going to win. But only if I can earn your support and the support of tens of thousands of grassroots activists like you.
